Tracy Andrews, Consultant

Tracy began her VAT career with HM Customs & Excise (now HM Revenue & Customs – HMRC) in 1991, before joining Ernst & Young in 1994, where she spent six years.   At the end of 2000 she left for a managerial position with Price WaterhouseCoopers (‘PwC’) in the VAT Special Projects Team.

In 2001, she took up a position in industry with the leading household insurer Norwich Union (now Aviva) based in East Anglia.  She spent five years there before returning to practice with Ernst & Young in early 2006, in a Senior Manager role.  

She left Ernst & Young to take up a Senior role with Elysian Associates, an established firm of advisers to the public sector, late 2009.

She is delighted to have joined LAVAT in July 2011.

During her career, she has worked with a variety of clients, ranging from public sector to private sector SMEs, to large multinational corporations including, but not limited to, those in the printing and publishing, food and financial services sectors.  She has advised on a range of complex VAT issues including land and property transactions and partial exemption, focussing on planning opportunities and addressing risk and compliance concerns.   She has also had a wealth of experience in providing training and addressing seminars and forums.
